		| 基本描述 | Ghrelin is a circulating growth-hormone-releasing peptide. Ghrelin is derived from the stomach and stimulates food intake. Ghrelin is synthesized as a preprohormone, then proteolytically processed to yield a 28-amino acid peptide. Ghrelin is important in long-term control of food intake and body weight; circulating ghrelin at fasting concentrations may stimulate food intake. |
