This peptide is the tethered ligand sequence of mouse PAR-2, which like the thrombin receptor is a protease-activated receptor present in keratinocytes. This peptide was found to be equipotent with SFLLRN in activating keratinocyte inositolphospholipid hydrolysis and calcium mobilization.
