A basic description
|
This peptide is a 14-amino acid peptide mimicking the potent thrombin receptor activator as well as an effective agonist for platelet activation. This peptide is the fragment 42-55 of the human thrombin receptor and fully reproduces the action of thrombin on MMPs in vascular endothelial cells. This peptide (TRP-14) may signal a variety of thrombin?s responses and has been shown to cause platelet aggregation that can evoke a wide range of G-protein dependent responses.
