This peptide is the fragment of Histone H3 (21-44) tri-methylated at Lys27 with an additional C-terminal Lys and biotinylation on the epsilon side chain of this Lys. Tri-methylation of Lys27 promotes Polycomb protein (Pc)-chromatin association and is associated with heterochromatin assembly and gene silencing.
